How to order kits and supplies from the web shop
Please place your order
1) on the web site and pay via Paypal
2) to send your order along with a cheque made payable to VIVA mosaics Ltd.
If you find the Paypal buttons do not work properly you can still order via Paypal. Go to “Send Money” in Paypal and send us the total amount including £8.50 for the postage. Carefully type in your order and the delivery address in the e-mail you can send with your “Send Money” request and that’s it!
Postage and packing
Orders are usually shipped within 1-2 working days hours on a Royal Mail 1st class service (up to 4 kg) or a 48 hour service with Parcelforce for heavier items. During holidays etc. this may be longer and you will be advised by e-mail. Please contact Arendse for Express Delivery on 07913 233285.
The principle is that P&P shall be charged at cost.
The P&P default setting from June 2010 is £8.50.
If your parcel requires a smaller post stamp when packed up
and weighed gross, excess postage will be returned to you manually.
The postage is calculated as the value of the post label plus £1 to cover packaging and going/driving to the post office. Hence if you order 800g of goods net the small packet will weigh under 1000g gross. The 1st class label will say £3.35 plus £1 for packaging and taking it to the post office. Cost: £4.35. You have paid £8.50. Your refund will be then be of £4.15.
VIVA is gutted to have had to put up the default postage charge op to £8.50 by June 2010. However, it has been £5.99 for the past 5 years and the raise could just not be put off any longer. As much as we would like to give you free postage unfortunately there is no such thing in this world and the cost of carriage and packaging has risen each year. In fact the £8.50 is not even enough to cover the cost when a £8.22 stamp or a Parcelforce 48 hour label is required, never mind the price of new large double walled box - almost doubled in price since 2004 at our supplier’s!
But again: if your parcel requires a smaller post stamp, excess postage will be returned to you manually. The charge of £8.50 will take your order up to 30 kg gross weight anywhere in UK Zone 1 (England, Wales and parts of Scotland excluding Highlands & Islands). And up to 4 kg anywhere in the UK.
If you want to order 4 kg gross weight+ to UK Zone 2 (Highlands & Islands of Scotland), UK Zone 3 (Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isle of Scilly) or the rest of Europe, please get in touch before placing the Paypal order for information on postage for deliveries outside of UK Zone 1 - or just expect a request for a surcharge via Paypal.
Recycling
VIVA’s policy with regards to the environment is as green as possible. We recycle as much packaging as we can inside out: boxes, wraps and fillers. Hence the parcel may not look as good as it could when you receive it or be as delicious as we would have liked it to be to unpack it; but obviously the actual goods are the same as the packaging in that sense make no difference to them. Using recycled packaging also helps to keep the cost down for you, it is expensive enough as it with the postage charges these days. When we have to buy packaging in we spend the extra money on biodegradable bubble wrap, loose fill etc.
Prices in the web shop
Prices and stock in the mosaic web shop may change without notice. If a price on the web site is obviously wrong VIVA mosaics Ltd may refuse to process the order. If VIVA mosaics Ltd is not able to process your order right away for any reason (out of stock, additional postage, error in price) we will get back to you by e-mail and eventually return your money in the unlikely case that satisfactory arrangements can not be made for customer and VIVA mosaics Ltd.
Liability
Whilst VIVA mosaics Ltd is happy to give advise on product use we cannot accept any liability on the use of them as that is outside our control. VIVA mosaics Ltd can not be held responsible for any injury to persons, animals or property handling, working with or being in contact with any product obtained from VIVAmosaics.com or the premises on 322 Rope Street, London, SE16 7TY, UK.

How to book a course
Please make sure that space is available by contacting Arendse. When confirmed that there is room for you please send your contact details along with a cheque made payable to VIVA mosaics Ltd. The courses can also be booked via Paypal.
The mosaic courses
Once paid for a course fee to VIVA mosaics Ltd is non refundable as this commitment from the course participant is needed. In case VIVA mosaics Ltd will have to cancel a course and we cannot find a satisfactory alternative for you, we will of course return your money.
Please note that you will be working with glass and grout and that attending one of our courses will be on your own risk. VIVA mosaics Ltd can not be held responsible for any injury to persons, animals or property whilst attending our courses.
How to find the web shop and the courses
The web shop is situated in a residential area and open by appointment only. If you wish to come and visit you are always welcome to give Arendse a call and make sure she is in for you.
Please find 322 Rope Street, SE16 7TY and your route of travel on maps.google.co.uk, GPS or any other detailed London map.
By car: 322 is along the dock and over the bridge towards the end of Rope Street just 100 m from River Thames and Greenland Pier. Parking is plentiful and free.
By tube: Surrey Quays overground has reopened and is closest to us, about 12 mins walk away. However, Canada Water tube station on the Jubilee Line seems better connected and is a 20 minute walk away. Please bring a map for your walk in the docks or you may loose your way.
By boat: The Thames Clippers pull in at Greenland Pier situated at the end of Rope Street. We are just 100 m up the road from the pier if that. This is a very convenient and exciting way of traveling and also the easiest way to find us: £5.30 from Embankment to Greenland, £4.80 with Oyster card. Make sure you check the time table at thamesclippers.com before you go.
