Mosaic Art Work by Arendse

Arendse has been trained by and working with internationally renowned mosaic artist Martin Cheek for 3 years and contributed substantially to his latest book: Mosaic Craft, 20 modern projects for the contemporary home.
Arendse’s work is decorative and is a celebration of life, light, colour and movement, often drawing inspiration from nature, tiles, jewellery and figurines. Also the materials themselves are of great inspiration to Arendse; she prefers to work in the hand made Venetian smalti of which she is particularly fond of the gold leaf smalti.
Arendse takes an interest in the Chinese system of Feng Shui and has made a number of mosaics that are also Feng Shui tools designed to positively energise particular areas of homes and businesses and thus, according to Feng Shui, peoples lives and their success.
